Your reaction to Amanda’s case
I don’t think Amanda is truly falsely accused since she had failed to include internal citation although of getting an F in the course and bad reputation on the Internet are harsh tribulations to her.
Turnitin’s demo shows it is a very advanced software which titled it self as ‘the global leader in addressing plagiarism’ and is used by many universities. I am shocked when I see instructor may just use the assessment in Turnitin to value students’ essays. I think instructors should be responsible to their students and view their students’ essays carefully. And of course, all students wants their teachers to be more benevolent when they met the similar kind of issue of Amanda’s.
